Description

You will provide technical consultancy for mainframe and COBOL-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update legacy codebases using Micro Focus COBOL and VS COBOL.
• Manage data structures and file systems using VSAM and Table Base.
• Execute and monitor batch processes via JCL.
• Utilize App Master Builder 5.0 and CICS for application management and transaction processing.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex system issues within the mainframe environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in mainframe environments.
• Proficiency in Micro Focus COBOL and VS COBOL.
• Experience with Net Express and MFEEE.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, VSAM, and Table Base.
• Hands-on experience with App Master Builder 5.0.
• Familiarity with DB2 and CICS.
• Knowledge of Panvalet, ChangeMan, File Aid, QMF, and SPUFI.
• Ability to use IBM Debugger or Intertest.
• Competency in Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering.
