You will act as a strategic partner to districts, connecting high-level strategy to technical execution.

Responsibilities

• Drive results through team share-ownership and a focus on purpose and value over specific solutions.
• Manage product line planning, development, and management processes.
• Negotiate and resolve conflicts, including managing difficult customer situations and uncomfortable interactions.
• Influence leadership decisions and shift opinions using rapport and credibility rather than positional power.
• Present technical and strategic information to leaders at all levels.

Required Skills

• 10 years of experience in strategic thinking and connecting strategy to execution.
• 10 years of experience in product line planning, development, and management.
• 10 years of experience in professional writing, speaking, and presenting to leadership.
• 10 years of experience in conflict negotiation, resolution, and managing difficult customers.
• 10 years of experience building rapport and acting as a strategic partner.
• 5 years of experience working in Information Technology, including SDLC and Agile methodology.
• 5 years of experience with technology procurement processes.
• Bachelor's degree or 6 years of related experience in an Information Technology role.

Preferred Skills

• BRMP Certification.
• Understanding of VDOT organizational structure and how VDOT and VITA interact.
