Description

You will manage, patch, and upgrade Oracle database environments, ensuring reliability through rigorous backup, recovery, and performance tuning.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database infrastructure, handling patching and upgrades.
• Perform database backups, recovery, and refreshes to meet customer requirements.
• Automate infrastructure components using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Resolve complex production issues through root cause analysis and provide governance via the Change Advisory Board.
• Monitor database performance, tune SQL queries, and drive improvement efforts across the portfolio.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows OS administration.
• Scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, Microsoft DSC, Chef, Puppet, Ruby, or Terraform.
• Experience with database monitoring and SQL performance tuning.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to guide on-shore/off-shore support teams.
• Ability to work effectively in international, multi-timezone environments.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Multi-Cloud developments and industry trends.
• Experience with SAP database environments.
