Description

You will administer, maintain, and optimize MySQL databases across production and non-production environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize MySQL databases in production and non-production environments.
• Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Develop Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security and backup compliance.
• Contribute to incident response processes to meet SLAs and minimize downtime.

Required Skills

• Core MySQL DBA expertise: installation, configuration, performance tuning, replication, backup/restore.
• Strong knowledge of Python scripting for automation and operational tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to provide 24x7 support during US business hours, including on-call rotation.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience.
