Description

You will manage infrastructure, optimization, and reliability for large-scale PostgreSQL environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Maintain database availability, schema, and tablespace management for environments exceeding 10TB.
• Monitor performance and perform tuning to ensure optimum system operation.
• Manage backups and execute disaster recovery processes.
• Secure the database by managing user access, permissions, and preventing unauthorized access.
• Resolve production data issues and provide best practice guidance to development teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience supporting PostgreSQL in an enterprise environment.
• Experience managing large-scale databases (10+TB).
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL utilities including pg_ctl and psql.
• Deep understanding of how PostgreSQL operates on Red Hat Linux for performance configuration.
• Hands-on experience with database objects such as triggers and indexes.
• Proven ability in infrastructure-focused DBA tasks including monitoring, backups, and DR.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MSSQL or MySQL.
