Description

You will manage the R&D software engineering lab and server room, ensuring hardware and software configurations meet technical specifications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, test, and repair computers (GPU/CPU, motherboards, network cards, chipsets), peripherals, servers, and networking equipment.
• Compile and execute custom device drivers or modify existing drivers from source using hardware-specific APIs.
• Support R&D engineering through the setup, debugging, and troubleshooting of new devices, servers, and tooling.
• Create and install software images from the cloud onto Linux-based systems.
• Manage inventory, vendor orders, shipping/receiving, and technical documentation including SOPs and test protocols.

Required Skills

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Computer or Electronics Technician.
• Deep experience with Linux-based operating systems, including boot, scheduler, task manager, daemons, linking, and networking.
• Proficiency in shell scripting and configuration control.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS or Azure.
• Working knowledge of networking and configuration management systems.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Ability to manage technical documentation, work instructions, and equipment logs.

Preferred Skills

• Associate degree or higher in a technical field.
• Previous experience working within R&D or manufacturing environments.
