Description

Manage fiscal, budgetary, and accounting operations for the IT program. Own annual budget requests, department expenditures, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Support development of annual IT budget requests and manage department expenditures.
• Analyze projects, infrastructure, and applications to validate and control costs.
• Perform monthly program and project expense forecasting, including Infrastructure (VITA) bill analysis.
• Conduct procurement, vendor financial, and pricing analysis.
• Prepare cost/variance reports and consolidated monthly project financial reports for senior management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
• 5+ years of experience with general accounting practices and financial management.
• 5+ years of experience providing customer service to professionals, vendors, and executive staff.
• 5+ years of extensive experience using Microsoft 365 applications.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex spreadsheets.
• Ability to analyze IT infrastructure, applications, and key cost drivers.
• Strong communication skills for presenting financial project aspects to leadership.

Preferred Skills

• 3 years of experience with performance metrics, measurements, and targets.
• 1 year of experience with Commonwealth of VA financial processes.
• Experience using the Cardinal financial system.
