Description

Manage fiscal, budgetary, and accounting operations for the IT program.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fiscal operations, processes, policies, and procedures for IT.
• Manage department expenditures and support annual IT budget request development.
• Analyze projects, infrastructure, and applications to validate and control costs.
• Perform monthly program and project expense forecasting and analyze Infrastructure (VITA) bills.
• Prepare cost/variance reports and consolidated monthly project financial reports for senior management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
• 5+ years of experience in general accounting practices and financial management.
• 5+ years of experience providing customer service to professionals, vendors, and executive staff.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft 365, including complex Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and cost drivers.
• Proven ability to communicate financial project aspects to senior management.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of experience with Commonwealth of VA financial knowledge.
• 1+ years of experience with the Cardinal financial system.
• Experience in developing performance metrics and methods for financial accountability.
