Description

You will own IT governance for higher education operations, ensuring compliance and managing risk across academic and administrative systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Maintain IT governance frameworks supporting academic, research, and administrative operations.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, and relevant security regulations.
• Develop and coordinate updates to policies, standards, and guidelines regarding data privacy and cybersecurity.
• Coordinate AI collaborations and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Track emerging AI governance regulations and recommend process improvements.

Required Skills

• 5–10 years in IT governance, risk, or compliance roles.
• Familiarity with governance frameworks like COBIT and ITIL.
• Knowledge of compliance standards including NIST and ISO.
• Understanding of higher education systems (LMS, SIS, ERP).
• Ability to interpret complex compliance requirements for AI in academic contexts.
• Strong communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
