Description

You will manage, maintain, and optimize the physical and software infrastructure for high-performance computing (HPC) clusters.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain software applications and operating systems on HPC clusters.
• Manage physical infrastructure, including hardware monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing upgrades.
• Facilitate secure data storage solutions and manage seamless data movement between systems.
• Collaborate with researchers and IT teams to implement solutions that enhance HPC performance and reliability.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and infrastructure changes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing and maintaining HPC clusters or large-scale computing environments.
• Proficiency in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with job scheduling systems such as Slurm, PBS, or Torque.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation.
• Familiarity with parallel file systems like Lustre or GPFS and data transfer technologies.
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems for incident management.
• Ability to lift and install hardware components weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort working in data center environments.
