Description

You will manage physical hardware lifecycle and network connectivity within a data centre environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute break-fix tasks including component replacement, re-seating cables, swapping storage media, and troubleshooting hardware issues.
• Manage physical deployment through rack/stack/jack operations, cable management, and installation of PDUs and network switches.
• Perform circuit provisioning and maintenance by installing optics, testing cables, and managing fiber/copper/power cabling.
• Conduct hardware maintenance such as power cycling equipment, cleaning connectors, and performing data eradication processes.
• Execute OTDR testing, configuration, and reporting for circuit validation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data centre or infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience with break-fix hardware maintenance and component replacement.
• Proficiency in physical cabling, including fiber, copper, and power management.
• Experience with OTDR testing, configuration, and reporting.
• Knowledge of rack/stack/jack procedures and equipment labeling/inventory.
• Ability to perform power cycling, soft-booting, and manual equipment inspections.
• CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE certification.

Preferred Skills

• BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field.
