Design, configure, and support the organization's communication networks and technical standards.
Responsibilities
- Engineer complex network infrastructure modifications including Layer 2/3, VLANs, VRFs, PRP, and HSRP.
- Manage IT infrastructure through implementation, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of hardware and software.
- Configure network device monitoring and maintain detailed technical documentation of designs and processes.
- Collaborate with vendors and team members on procurement and project execution.
- Perform physical networking tasks including organizing, labeling, and running network cables.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of technical experience in IT infrastructure and networking.
- CCNA certification or equivalent technical training and experience.
- Expertise managing Cisco switches, Cisco wireless controllers, access points, ASA firewalls, and FMC.
- Hands-on experience with VPN and HSRP configurations.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools such as PRTG.
- Strong understanding of voice and data networks, wireless services, and network security (firewalls, IPS, and log analysis).
- Ability to read vendor documentation to configure new software or hardware.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and Word.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel to Pittsburg or San Francisco daily.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with NERC CIP Compliance or working in highly secure environments.
- Familiarity with Tripwire Enterprise, Dragos, Nessus, Cisco Prime, Cisco ISE, CheckPoint, Palo Alto, or Aruba devices.
