Description

You will provide full-stack performance engineering support for critical infrastructure, services, and applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Identify key performance indicators and dependencies for applications and services.
• Develop performance requirements and validation tests to meet business needs.
• Select appropriate tools and methodologies to execute performance testing.
• Analyze performance implications of proposed architectures and provide optimization suggestions.
• Troubleshoot performance issues across compute devices, complex networks, and application containers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in application performance engineering, including monitoring, testing, and debugging.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience troubleshooting compute performance through log analysis and performance indicators.
• Experience troubleshooting complex networks, including firewalls, load-balancers, routers, and switches.
• Ability to write and debug scripts using Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
• Experience with IT capacity and performance analysis for compute, server, file storage, and network (vSphere, NetApp).
• Experience using tools such as CA Spectrum, LoadRunner, and Splunk.
• Experience administering or troubleshooting WebLogic, Apache, or JBoss.
• Experience troubleshooting J2EE and JVM tools like jps, jcmd, jstat, or jmap.
• Proven ability to lead teams or projects while meeting technical and schedule objectives.
• US citizenship is required.
