Description

You will manage 3-5 simultaneous application development projects, including COTS and in-house initiatives, ensuring vendor compliance with Secure System Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules in MS Project, scope documents, and communication plans from initiation to closeout.
• Track progress and variances against baselines using Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies, presenting status updates to leadership.
• Manage the change request process, deliverable acceptance, and quality governance including UAT defect metrics.
• Lead multi-phased IT projects for State agencies, ensuring strict adherence to ethical and legal mandates.
• Report project status and compliance to executive staff, managers, and team members.

Required Skills

• 84 months (7 years) of experience as a Project Manager managing simultaneous application development projects.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of Secure System Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) development practices.
• Experience in quality planning, quality assurance, end-to-end system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Active PMP Certification.
• Experience managing vendor implementations including version upgrades, configurations, and custom development.
