Description

Manage large-scale IT projects from planning through delivery, overseeing budgets, resources, and risk assessment. You will coordinate vendor management, hardware/software licensing, and production readiness testing, including disaster recovery and emergency readiness planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans using MS Project and MS Visio, generating detailed Gantt and resource charts.
• Manage version control and reporting via Microsoft SharePoint and Planview, creating custom enterprise dashboard reports.
• Evaluate the IT technology stack and collaborate with development and production support teams on J2EE, SOAP, and RESTful services.
• Plan production and testbed environments, including operations resource allocation, backup/restore services, and hardware provisioning.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely project delivery.

Required Skills

• Master's degree in Computers, IT, IS, Business, or Engineering, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of progressive experience.
• Minimum 6 months of experience developing software applications based on Java and Java frameworks in a technical lead or manager capacity.
• Proficiency in J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate ecosystems.
• Experience with SOAP and RESTful Web Services, including JMS messaging.
• Ability to generate custom reports using programming languages and enterprise-level database servers.
• Willingness to travel to unanticipated client sites throughout the USA.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Planview for project portfolio management.
