Description

You will support the Virginia State Police Information Security program through cybersecurity, risk management, and IT infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

• Promote information security awareness and compliance with commonwealth laws, policies, and procedures.
• Assist agencies in aligning their information security programs with COV laws, policies, and standards.
• Provide guidance to VSP to ensure the successful completion of sensitive system audits.
• Support the Information Security Office in managing IT governance and infrastructure services.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Proven expertise in risk management.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure services.
• Knowledge of IT governance frameworks.
• Ability to interpret and implement compliance with laws and policies.
• Experience supporting security audits for sensitive systems.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate-level education.
