Description

You will evaluate security impacts across applications, configurations, and infrastructure to maintain compliance throughout the change management lifecycle.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Assess configurations of applications, servers, and network devices against established security standards.
• Analyze and document how new systems or interfaces affect the current security posture.
• Evaluate risks from newly discovered vulnerabilities and coordinate resolution with System Owners, IT, and vendors.
• Investigate security incidents and deliver thorough post-event analyses.
• Perform internal application penetration testing and recommend security posture improvements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in security analysis or related roles.
• Experience coordinating vulnerability remediation with System Owners.
• Practical knowledge of implementing and documenting security controls.
• Ability to perform application penetration testing and document technical findings.
• Experience managing vulnerability tracking and reporting to management.
• Proficiency in incident investigation and post-event analysis.
• Background in conducting security and user access audits.

Preferred Skills

• Experience conducting annual password security audits and agency-wide user access audits.
• Ability to determine and document necessary security controls for information systems and networks.
• Proficiency in maintaining desk procedures and process documentation for all security functions.
