Description

You will manage cyber investigations and remediate vulnerabilities within the State of Michigan environment as part of the Incident Response Team.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead cyber investigations involving network security, including event detection, correlation, response, and recovery.
• Investigate security incidents for potential breaches or non-compliance and coordinate root-cause analysis.
• Review and validate security procedures, standard operating procedures, and lessons learned from incidents.
• Operate and configure incident response tools to collect and analyze data for program reporting.
• Develop reports and trend analyses for management based on security metrics and performance controls.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
• Proficiency in Malware Analysis.
• Experience with Digital Forensics.
• Strong Data and Network Analysis skills.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including weekend and after-hours work.

Preferred Skills

• Experience interfacing with other agencies to improve security posture and reduce security-related events.
• Ability to provide recommendations to executives on trending threats and state-wide security improvements.
