Good to Have Skills: Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Performance Tuning Tools (AWR, ASH, Explain Plans, SQL Trace), Data Pump utility, Oracle Database Architecture knowledge, Oracle Multitenant Architecture (CDB/PDB), Shell Scripting for automation, Cloud database services (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS RDS), Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, Excellent communication skills for interacting with developers and technical teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Database software including major version upgrades and security patches.
• Design, implement, and manage robust backup and disaster recovery strategies using Recovery Manager and Data Pump.
• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve database performance issues using AWR, ASH, and SQL Tuning Advisor tools.
• Implement and maintain database security including managing users, roles, privileges, and Transparent Data Encryption.
• Allocate, manage, and optimize database storage structures and plan for future storage and resource needs.
• Implement and administer high availability solutions such as Oracle Real Application Clusters and Data Guard.
• Perform essential maintenance activities like indexing, space management, statistics gathering, and database housekeeping.
• Identify and resolve complex technical problems within the database environment collaborating with application and system teams.

Experience Required: 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator supporting production environments.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
