Description

You will manage IT security projects and the deployment of complex NG9-1-1 systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead security SMEs through testing and deployment of NG9-1-1 systems and threat monitoring.
• Coordinate security scanning for system hardware and software, evaluating all results.
• Manage schedules and system validation for functionality, performance, fault tolerance, and operational readiness.
• Integrate Public Safety security policies with NextGen911 systems.
• Ensure NIST security controls and NENA Standards are documented and implemented across all workstreams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in IT security project management.
• 8+ years of experience overseeing medium to large-scale projects.
• Professional security certification such as CISSP, GIAC, or CISM.
• Proven track record managing end-to-end security policy administration within Public Safety environments.
• Technical experience in large-scale enterprise environments for Emergency Services.
• Experience presenting technical data and project updates to executive-level management.
• Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with New York City government agencies.
• 5+ years of vendor management experience.
• PMP certification.
