Description

Design and implement secure, scalable infrastructure automation solutions for Kafka platforms across public and private cloud environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Confluent Kafka platforms in cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Python, and Ansible.
• Analyze security risks, enforce IT security policies, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and application teams to deliver secure messaging platforms.
• Troubleshoot deployment and performance issues while ensuring compliance with enterprise standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation and IT security.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform, Python, and Ansible (Playbooks/Tower).
• Hands-on experience with Kafka (Confluent preferred) and messaging protocols.
• Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Shell scripting.
• Experience with public and private cloud environments and large-scale enterprise deployments.
• Understanding of IT security policies, certificate management, and risk mitigation.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace or AppDynamics.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with MQ, IIB, or TIBCO.
• Experience with Java/J2EE and Agile development environments.
