Description

Develop, maintain, and debug software within a Windows client/server environment to meet defined requirements and system objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify software to meet specifications for insurance carriers and regulatory groups.
• Analyze user needs and assist in designing specifications to meet end-user requirements.
• Test and debug assigned projects while assisting team members with project testing.
• Investigate support staff escalations to make necessary corrections to data or software.
• Prepare technical documentation for new and existing software.

Required Skills

• 6 years of experience in language development or business analytical experience.
• Proficiency in C# and SQL, including the ability to analyze queries and improve complex stored procedure performance.
• Experience with Javascript and AJAX.
• Knowledge of Web Post and Get methods and the request/response lifecycle.
• Experience with GIT and code management.
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Azure DevOps, TeamCity, TFS, or Octopus Deploy.
• Ability to work through issues logically without direct supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Systems Administration background including server provisioning and IIS administration.
• Infrastructure knowledge and SQL Server expertise.
