You will perform analytical and technical work related to the enhancements and operations of Managed Care Transformation.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze complex healthcare data from multiple sources to design and implement technical solutions based on Federal and State Medicaid requirements.
• Design and develop interfaces across Medicaid internal and external systems.
• Create and deliver reports and metrics using SAS Business Intelligence tools and the NC Analytics Data warehouse.
• Write SQL queries to analyze data and create ad-hoc reports to support business needs.
• Validate input files and formats against data mapping artifacts, architect output datasets, and perform data quality assurance.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions while managing relationships with multiple vendors and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in project management.
• 5+ years of experience developing SQL queries.
• 5+ years of SAS programming knowledge using Base SAS 9.4, SAS Macro, SAS BI Suite, Data Integration studio, and Enterprise guide.
• Strong understanding of healthcare claims processing, including Claims, Provider, Eligibility, and Members.
• Proficiency with Oracle (11), MS SQL Server, and DB2 databases.
• Experience with file transfer methodologies and file types including CSV, TXT, and XML.
• Proven experience delivering Business Intelligence solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and develop business rules and process flows.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Medicaid and/or MMIS.
• Experience with Single Sign On applications and the State’s NCID system.
