Description

Bridge accounting and IT infrastructure to optimize financial business processes and resolve system discrepancies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze process flows and business requirements to translate them into technical specifications.
• Identify and resolve system access discrepancies and process complications.
• Review server and system logs to identify unexpected results.
• Liaise between IT and accounting teams to ensure technical requirements meet business needs.
• Lead efforts to enhance system functionalities and optimize business workflows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in programming or systems analysis.
• 3+ years of experience working with accounting concepts and financial systems.
• Proficiency in SQL (SQL Server preferred) for analyzing, manipulating, and producing database output.
• Experience with accounting and procurement web applications.
• Knowledge of Budgeting, Account Coding, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Vendor Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of web application code behavior including JAVA, HTML, and XML.
• Familiarity with XML and interface file layouts and content.
• Experience using online ticketing and problem tracking systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP systems, system upgrades, or migration projects.
• Knowledge of CGI Advantage Financial, Ivalua eProcurement, or ServiceNow.
