Description

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple healthcare infrastructure and technical deployment projects from planning through implementation and completion.
  • Define project scope, objectives, technical requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate across networking, server, hardware, desktop, clinical technology, facilities, engineering, and operational teams.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative stakeholders to understand workflows and ensure technology solutions support patient-care operations.
  • Partner with Facilities Engineering and external contractors on construction, renovation, and facility expansion projects involving IT infrastructure.
  • Coordinate the design, installation, implementation, support, and auditing of applicable technical infrastructure.
  • Manage large-scale deployments of devices, hardware, networking equipment, and other hospital technologies.
  • Schedule and oversee work performed by engineers, technicians, vendors, and third-party contractors.
  • Participate in planning and design meetings to identify infrastructure requirements, dependencies, and potential project impacts.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, technical specifications, process flows, and status reports.
  • Create technical diagrams and document hardware, software, network, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, resource constraints, and changes in scope.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to approved requirements and quality standards.
  • Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and escalations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with hospital departments, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Follow established PMO governance, documentation, approval, and project-closing processes.
  • Evaluate completed projects against established goals and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Mentor other Project Managers, Team Leaders, and Resource Managers as needed.
  • Support project work outside normal business hours, including occasional nights and weekends, based on implementation schedules.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum of five years of IT experience within a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • Minimum of five years of project management or equivalent technical leadership experience.
  • Minimum of two years leading technical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, servers, hardware, devices, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Understanding of clinical workflows and how technology supports clinicians and patient care.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects involving several technical and operational teams.
  • Experience coordinating engineers, technicians, contractors, and third-party vendors.
  • Strong project planning, budgeting, risk management, issue resolution, change management, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical resources, clinical stakeholders, vendors, and senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, presentation, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with project management and productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Asana, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Epic-related infrastructure or Epic implementation projects.
  • Experience with hospital construction, renovations, or facility expansion projects.
  • Experience managing large-scale device or hardware deployment initiatives.
  • PMP or Google Project Management certification
