Description

You will manage hardware, software, and infrastructure support for local systems and R&D activities in San Jose, CA.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software components to ensure system usability.
• Rack and stack servers, lifting equipment up to 50lbs while maintaining electrical safety standards.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to resolve system errors efficiently.
• Manage technical documentation, installation procedures, and daily backup operations.
• Own asset management, including inventory tracking, equipment purchasing, shipping, and conducting four physical audits per year.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, and Ubuntu Linux distributions.
• Proven experience with Ansible and Foreman deployment.
• Ability to perform hardware repairs and system upgrades for software compatibility.
• Experience in asset management and inventory control.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) accreditation.
