Description

You will own the IT Service Management portfolio for the Virginia Department of Transportation, implementing ITIL v4 methodology to support enterprise IT service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing ITIL processes to identify workflow gaps and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Implement and manage Service Catalog, Incident, Request, Problem, Change, and Release management practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at various organizational levels to gather requirements and analyze process data.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear communication for diverse audiences.
• Conduct onsite work several days a week in Richmond, VA, managing own parking procurement.

Required Skills

• ITIL v4 Practice Manager or Managing Professional certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience implementing ITIL methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Service Catalog, Incident, Request, Problem, Change, and Release management.
• Ability to analyze business processes, identify gaps, and drive implementation of improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant work experience within Virginia state government.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VDOT or similar large-scale enterprise IT service environments.
