Description

Develop and deploy enterprise APIs using Apigee and Java Spring Boot, supporting the migration from legacy SOAP services to modern RESTful architectures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy enterprise APIs using Apigee and Java Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to implement scalable, secure, and reusable API patterns.
• Modernize and migrate legacy SOAP-based services from IBM ESB to RESTful APIs.
• Support the Apigee-to-Azure migration by ensuring smooth deployment and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues across APIs and integrations.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience with hands-on API development.
• Strong backend development skills with Java Spring Boot and REST API design.
• Experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X, including API proxy configuration and policies.
• Experience deploying or managing APIs in Azure or GCP.
• Proficiency in REST, JSON, OAuth2, JWT, and SOAP.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of API security concepts including mutual TLS, rate limiting, and token-based auth.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with observability tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or Apigee Analytics.
• Experience working in distributed teams (onshore/offshore).
