Description

You will design, build, and govern RESTful, gRPC, and event-driven APIs using industry best practices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger and AsyncAPI specifications.
• Define and enforce API design standards, style guides, and governance processes.
• Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation and usage guides.
• Build API prototypes and mock servers to validate designs and gather early feedback.
• Manage the full API lifecycle, including versioning, deprecation, and backward compatibility.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of REST, gRPC, and event-driven API paradigms.
• Proficiency with API specification tools (OpenAPI/Swagger, RAML, AsyncAPI, Postman).
• Experience with API gateways, management platforms, and developer portals.
• Familiarity with security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, API keys).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS (EKS) and Microservices Domain Driven architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated API testing.
