Description

You will design, develop, and implement cloud-native APIs and microservices using Java and J2EE technologies.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update services and APIs using Java to support current and future projects.
• Design, document, and test software systems following SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
• Oversee peer code reviews and provide technical guidance to the development team.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Scrum Masters to implement cloud-native APIs.
• Deliver Proof of Concepts for emerging technologies and present business value recommendations to leadership.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software development and analysis.
• Expertise in Java and J2EE technologies including Hibernate, Servlets, JNDI, JMS, and JDBC.
• Strong experience with Spring Frameworks: Spring MVC, IoC, AOP, and Spring JDBC.
• Extensive experience developing microservices using Spring Boot.
• Proficiency with SOAP and REST-based web services and concurrent programming.
• Hands-on experience with build and deployment tools like Jenkins, Docker, Ant, and Maven.
• Experience configuring and deploying applications on Tomcat or WebSphere servers.
• Competency in XML technologies including XML, XSL, and XSLT.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of API gateways and specifications such as Swagger or RAML.
• Experience with Azure Architecture, Pivotal Tanzu, or Tanzu Kubernetes Grid.
• Implementation knowledge of security protocols including OAuth, SAML, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
