Description

Lead architectural design and technical oversight for complex Java applications in the communicable disease and vital records domain.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and support of complex Java/JEE applications and web interfaces.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technical designs with business requirements and state development standards.
• Develop software design documents, prototypes, and technology roadmaps for supported applications.
• Execute the full software development life cycle, including writing technical specifications and integrating software components.
• Perform technical reviews of code and design to maintain enterprise standards and ensure data integrity.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience architecting and designing complex computer systems using Java technologies.
• 12+ years reviewing technical designs to ensure enterprise standard maintenance.
• 10+ years of experience developing complex systems using Java IDEs like Eclipse or STS.
• 10+ years designing and reviewing logical and physical data models in SQL and/or PL/SQL.
• 8+ years of programming with Java JEE, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.
• 8+ years of development using Hibernate/JPA frameworks.
• 8+ years preparing and maintaining technology roadmaps.
• 5+ years of development using Angular, React JS, or other JavaScript frameworks.
• 5+ years working in JBOSS Enterprise SOA and DevOps container environments.
• Proficiency with Java 8, SOAP, RESTful Web Services, Spring Batch, and Spring Security.
• Experience with JQuery, HTML5, JavaScript, HTML, XML, and Angular.
• Strong knowledge of GIT, Apache Tomcat, and Openshift Container.
• Experience working within large Agile projects and CMMI Level 3 practices.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and ActiveMQ broker.
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
