Description

You will develop, monitor, and optimize Java applications within an AWS environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize application performance to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Conduct regular security assessments and performance checks to resolve potential issues.
• Oversee the full application lifecycle, including updates, releases, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs.
• Integrate emerging technologies and industry trends into the development process.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java (JDK 1.7 and 1.8) and frameworks including Hibernate and JPA.
• Extensive experience with AWS native services: EC2, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, and CloudWatch.
• Proficiency with container management using Kubernetes, EKS, and Docker.
• Extensive DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and Nexus Repository Manager.
• Proven experience with event-driven architectures.
• Expertise in Git or Bitbucket for code repository management and version control.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex issues and debugging local environments.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies and using Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence).
• Proficiency with IntelliJ IDE and monitoring tools like Datadog.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the insurance domain or understanding the insurance policy lifecycle.
• Knowledge of payment gateway integration and secure transaction handling.
• Basic knowledge of Python.
