Description

You will lead technical design and modernization of large-scale legacy systems, defining architecture and coding standards.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design for system modernization and multi-level architecture component interactions.
• Dictate technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms.
• Develop tax processing system components and maintain existing processing systems.
• Guide requirements gathering, system design work, and the creation of technical design documents.
• Perform performance tuning on new and existing applications and database interactions.

Required Skills

• 14+ years of professional experience in software development and architecture.
• 7+ years of experience with J2EE technologies including EJB, JDBC, JSP, and XML.
• 7+ years of Java programming within an IBM development environment using Rational Application Developer (RAD) deployed to WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
• 7+ years of IBM DB2 experience and expertise with XML schemas.
• 7+ years of system analysis and design for multi-tiered transactional systems.
• 5+ years of experience with IBM MQSeries.
• 5+ years of experience in performance tuning applications interacting with databases.
• 3+ years of experience working within a government organization.
• Proficiency in SQL writing and tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in finance or tax processing systems.
