Description

You will design and maintain mission-critical authentication systems for New York State government web applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement J2EE design patterns, including Session Façade, Front Controller, Data Access Object, Business Delegate, and Value Object.
  • Develop reusable and distributed Java components within J2EE applications.
  • Install and deploy J2EE applications on WebSphere cluster environments across production and non-production settings.
  • Design and develop UI screens using AJAX, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while meeting state accessibility standards.
  • Troubleshoot user issues in staging and QA environments and monitor incidents via ITSM tools.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Java development and architecture.
  • Expertise in J2EE design patterns and Rational Software Architect (RSA).
  • Proficiency with AJAX, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience developing REST and SOAP Web Services.
  • Knowledge of deploying applications to WebSphere cluster environments.
  • Experience using Service Management (ITSM) tools for incident resolution.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
