Description

You will design and lead the modernization of legacy systems into distributed platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT transformation initiatives moving legacy Mainframe Cobol and DB2 applications to Java and SQL or MongoDB environments.
• Design high-volume, highly available systems supporting heavy transaction loads.
• Own cloud deployment strategies within a continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) model.
• Build scalable solutions using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud Data Flow.
• Drive test automation efforts using Mockito, JUnit, or similar frameworks.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with Java and the Spring framework.
• 2+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and cloud development.
• 6+ years of experience with distributed databases including SQL Server, MongoDB, and Informatica.
• 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo and Bitbucket or Git.
• Deep experience with Web Services including REST and SOAP.
• Proven track record in system modernization from Mainframe (Cobol, DB2) to distributed architectures.
• Experience working in Agile environments using the Atlassian tool stack (Jira).
• Experience with test automation frameworks like Mockito or JUnit.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with .NET framework, C#, and Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ and Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Background in the Financial Services industry and Mainframe tools like Changeman or Batch Processing.
