Description

You will design and oversee scalable architecture for Java-based applications in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable architecture systems for Java-based applications and define current architecture systems.
• Identify hardware and software infrastructure requirements to meet architectural goals.
• Troubleshoot design flaws, system bottlenecks, and solve complex software system issues.
• Conduct system performance tests and validation tests to ensure environment flexibility and scalability.
• Collaborate with technology managers and design teams to align architecture with company needs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with previous experience as a software or Java architect.
• Advanced knowledge of software architecture, software design, and web programming.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and REST Web Services.
• Proficiency with SQL, Postgres, and Redis Cache.
• Experience with messaging and streaming tools including RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Technical familiarity with GitHub, Nexus, SonarQube, Gradle, and Jenkins.
• Experience with the design and implementation of software networks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cucumber (BDD), OpenShift Container Platform, and Helm charts.
