You will guide the technical design for modernizing legacy systems and coordinate technical solutions across support groups.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement tax processing system components and technical solutions.
• Develop technical design documents and program specifications.
• Support production tasks, analyze issues, and implement defect resolution.
• Mentor less experienced staff on best practices and system architecture.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Experience with legacy system modernization.
• Proficiency in SQL tuning and writing complex queries.
• Experience with real-time systems.
• Conducting requirements gathering and system design analysis.
• Coding and performing unit and integration tests.
• Performance tuning of applications.

Preferred Skills

• Background in tax processing or financial systems.
