Description

You will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of critical HL7 FHIR interoperability applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Design and build custom software integrations for interoperability with hospitals and providers.
• Automate ETL processes to read, extract, transform, and load healthcare data using cloud-based tools.
• Develop SMART on FHIR applications utilizing UDAP security flows, EHR Launch, and CDS Hooks.
• Construct data pipelines for extracts from HIEs, EMRs, and payer databases using HL7v2, C-CDA, and FHIR.
• Monitor data quality and implement automated scripts to cleanse and correct data errors.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in software development and multi-level architecture design.
• 4+ years developing software components in HAPI/SMILE-CDR FHIR servers using Java and JavaScript.
• 4+ years working with healthcare standards including SNOMED, CPT, ICD10, LOINC, and RxNorm.
• 3+ years in FHIR interface design, administration, and workflow analysis.
• 3+ years with SMART on FHIR security configuration, including Authentication, Authorization, and CDS Hooks.
• 3+ years developing provider-facing SMART on FHIR applications.
• 1+ year of experience with Interoperability and Patient Access final rule (CMS-9115-F) projects.
• Proficiency in ETL processes and cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Information Science, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• HL7 FHIR Certification.
• Cloud administration certifications (Azure, AWS, etc.).
