Description

You will design, build, and enhance microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Lead architecture discussions and produce solution approaches and design artifacts.
• Deploy and operate services on AWS EKS, handling configuration, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Define and implement CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads.
• Drive non-functional requirements, including performance, resiliency, scalability, observability, and security.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices adhering to clean architecture and SOLID principles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS EKS / Kubernetes deployments (Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps/Secrets, HPA, namespaces).
• Docker/containerization experience.
• Working knowledge of AWS services: IAM, VPC, ALB/NLB, CloudWatch, EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB.
• Experience defining target state, integration patterns, and documenting architectural tradeoffs.

Preferred Skills

• Strong communication skills to propose designs independently.
