Description

You will design and implement high-throughput data pipelines and microservices using Java 17+ and cloud-native patterns.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build batch and streaming data pipelines using Apache Beam SDK and Google Cloud Dataflow.
• Architect event-driven systems and RESTful APIs with deep understanding of microservices and distributed systems challenges.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab and ensure system observability via Grafana, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
• Optimize performance for concurrency, throughput, and consistency in high-scale environments.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience with Java 17+, including modern features, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Beam SDK for building complex data pipelines.
• Proficiency with GCP services, specifically Google Pub/Sub, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Cloud Logging, or Splunk.
• Understanding of distributed systems challenges including consistency, partitioning, and fault tolerance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
