Description

Lead technical design and architectural decisions for large-scale tax modernization systems. Own the release pipeline from detailed design through production support.

Responsibilities

• Dictate technical, software coding standards, tools, and platforms for enterprise systems.
• Design multi-level architectures and component interactions for large-scale, multi-tiered transactional systems.
• Develop detailed design documents, program specifications, and technical design specifications for component-based systems.
• Execute SQL writing, tuning, and application performance analysis to optimize system stability.
• Mentor less experienced staff and present complex designs to technical communities and users.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in software architecture and high-level design.
• 7 years of Java programming within an IBM development environment using Rational Application Developer (RAD).
• 7 years of experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS), EAD4J, and JADE frameworks.
• 7 years of system analysis and design for multi-tiered transactional systems.
• 7 years of IBM DB2 experience and SQL tuning.
• 7 years of experience with XML schemas, including definition, querying, and automated generation.
• 3 years of WebSphere Integration Development (WID) using WebSphere Process Server (WPS), BPEL Processes, State Machines, and SCA/SDO components.
• 3 years of experience with Government Taxation organizations involving tax or audit systems.
