Description

You will build, operate, and own backend services within a distributed environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices and event-driven solutions using Java.
• Design and implement APIs using REST and GraphQL.
• Own service operational excellence by implementing logging, metrics, and monitoring via Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana, and PagerDuty.
• Apply software engineering best practices including unit testing, design patterns, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate on full-stack requirements involving frontend frameworks and UI/UX principles.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend and full-stack engineering.
• Proficiency in Java development.
• Strong expertise in microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with AWS services including Compute, Network Security, API Gateway, VPC, Kubernetes, and Fargate/EKS.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and Postgres Aurora.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks including React or Angular, plus HTML/CSS.
• Solid understanding of testing frameworks for both frontend and backend.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Vert.x, Node.js, Golang, or gRPC.
• Knowledge of Kafka/MSK and Jenkins CI/CD configuration.
