Description

You will design, develop, and support Java-based microservices for card installments and consumer lending capabilities.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS using modern DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services for high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and production support activities.
• Ensure solutions meet client security, risk, compliance, and resiliency standards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional Java development experience (Java 8+).
• Strong experience building Spring / Spring Boot microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience developing REST APIs and working with JSON/XML payloads.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Ability to work onsite in NYC 5 days per week.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards in financial services.
