Role Overview:

The Java Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services and APIs. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and implement features that meet business needs, while optimizing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and implement features.
• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring smooth operation under high load.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment automation.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating new tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy and manage backend services in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.

Required Skills:

• Expertise with Java/J2EE, Springboot, and Kotlin.
• Expertise with building RESTful APIs.
• Thorough understanding of JSON, Web Service technologies, and data structure fundamentals.
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
• Confirmed experience with object-oriented design and coding with a variety of languages.
• Knowledge on Agentic AI.
• Knowledge on code quality parameters and GIT branching concepts.
• Knowledge on SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle/DB2, Cassandra / Couchbase).
• Knowledge of Automated testing concepts using Selenium, REST Assured, and Cucumber.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and exposure to tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, Maven, and GIT.
• Expertise in agile life-cycle management tools (JIRA/Rally), software testing standards, methods, and conventions.

• 5-6 years of relevant experience
