Description

You will build and maintain scalable backend services and cloud-native applications in Austin, TX (remote).

Responsibilities

• Develop elegant, high-performance code following security best practices.
• Own end-to-end application delivery, including coordination for production deployments.
• Build and deploy components through CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor application health and KPIs to support production issue triage.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve complex data, service, and platform issues.

Required Skills

• 3-7 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring Core, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• Experience building Microservices and cloud-native applications.
• Hands-on experience with J2EE and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of JPA or other ORM frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in unit testing using JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with build and deployment tools like Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins.
• Mandatory experience with at least one cloud platform (GCP preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with event-driven frameworks, specifically Kafka.
• Experience with search platforms like Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of SRE frameworks such as OpenTelemetry.
