Description

You will design, build, and maintain backend components for highly scalable eCommerce and merchandising applications. You will own the release pipeline, monitor system performance, and ensure engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend applications using cloud platform technologies.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and full-stack engineers to ship features.
• Monitor system performance and rectify usability issues related to traffic drops.
• Review application code and plan future API upgrades with the development team.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience developing large-scale web applications.
• Extensive Java programming skills and deep knowledge of data structures.
• Expertise in Microservices architecture and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Persistence, REST, Messaging, Integrations).
• Experience with Apache Storm and Golang or similar languages.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with messaging architectures such as Kafka, MQ Series, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to build RESTful APIs and apply REST principles.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, GIT, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Competency in writing unit and integration tests.
