Description

You will design, build, and maintain backend components for highly scalable eCommerce and merchandising applications, owning the release pipeline and system performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend applications using cloud platform technologies and ensure engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and full-stack engineers to ship features.
• Monitor system performance and rectify usability issues related to traffic drops.
• Review application code and plan future API upgrades with the development team.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience developing large-scale web applications.
• Extensive Java programming skills and deep knowledge of data structures.
• Expertise in Microservices architecture and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Persistence, REST, Messaging, Integrations).
• Experience with Apache Storm and Golang or similar languages.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Experience with messaging architectures such as Kafka, MQ Series, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to build RESTful APIs and apply REST principles.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, GIT, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Competency in writing unit and integration tests.
