Description

You will build and maintain backend services using Java and microservices architecture in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy REST APIs using Spring Boot and microservices.
• Integrate Snowflake with data processing and reporting tools.
• Manage data loading processes from cloud storage.
• Implement security measures including encryption and data masking.
• Maintain DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Java, J2SE, and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with ANSI SQL, Snowflake Cloud, and SQL scripting.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML/XSLT, and AJAX.
• Experience with JDBC and JPA/ORM frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud services and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Experience with ETL tools and API Management tools like Layer7 or Azure APIM.
• Familiarity with JUnit for testing.
• Experience with security tools such as CyberArk.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka messaging and Python.
• Knowledge of Asset Management domains and data modeling.
• Usage of monitoring tools like Dynatrace and code quality tools like SonarQube.
