Description

Develop backend eCommerce and merchandising applications using cloud platform technologies.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features in collaboration with full-stack engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs while planning future upgrades with the development team.
• Maintain engineering best practices and perform code reviews for applications and features.
• Monitor system performance and investigate traffic drops related to usability issues.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Java programming and data structures.
• Extensive experience with Microservices architecture and development.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases including Oracle, Postgres, and Cassandra.
• Hands-on experience with messaging architectures using Kafka or equivalent tools.
• Proven ability to build RESTful APIs following REST principles.
• Experience using Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Competency in writing unit and integration tests.

• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
