Description

You will build modern microservices to migrate a legacy system to Azure, handling both new development and production support for mission-critical systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, efficient, and testable backend code using Java and Spring Boot.
• Enhance data access layers, optimize system performance, and troubleshoot Hibernate queries.
• Participate in design discussions and lead modernization initiatives.
• Resolve production issues and contribute to on-call rotations every 12-16 weeks.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of enterprise backend development experience.
• Deep expertise in Java (versions 8-17), Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Cloud.
• Strong proficiency with Hibernate (JPA, HQL, JPQL, Criteria, tuning).
• Experience building SOAP and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, MongoDB, and distributed systems.
• Strong database connectivity skills with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Proficiency with WebLogic, JUnit, Mockito, Git, Gradle/Ant, and Azure DevOps.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
• Experience with containerization and cloud migration strategies.
